The Kebbi State Government plans to spend ₦1 billion on maintaining vehicles used by Governor Nasir Idris, according to the state’s approved 2026 budget.
Dotifi News found on Wednesday that under the allocation to the governor’s office for the 2026 fiscal year, ₦1 billion was set aside for the maintenance of vehicles and other transport equipment.
In addition to this, another ₦1 billion was approved to cover a combination of honorarium, sitting allowances, and welfare packages for the governor.
The budget also approved ₦732 million for the provision of foodstuffs and the supply of catering materials for the governor’s office. Meanwhile, ₦70 million was allocated for the maintenance of furniture, while ₦6 million was earmarked for printing non-security documents.
A breakdown of the 2026 budget further shows that Governor Idris’ office would receive ₦5 million for refreshments and meals. This allocation is separate from the ₦732 million already approved for catering services.
Meanwhile, the same budget allocated ₦251 million for the purchase of drugs across the state and ₦1.6 billion for the preparation of the budget and financial accounts.
