Brazilian star, Neymar has expressed his anger at the 2025 Ballon dOr results, labeling Raphinhas fifth-place ranking an absolute joke. The ceremony, held on Monday night, September 22nd at the Thtre du Chtelet in Paris, saw Ousmane Dembl crowned with the mens Ballon dOr. The Paris Saint-Germain forward was recognized for his outstanding season, in which he played a key role in the club’s historic campaign, which included their first-ever Champions League title. Raphinha also had a strong season with Barcelona, but his fifth-place finish didn’t sit well with Neymar. The former PSG forward took to social media to voice his frustration, calling the ranking “a joke.” Raphinha, 28, was impressive for the Catalan giants in the 2024-25 season, scoring 38 goals and providing 23 assists across 66 appearances in all competitions. His goals contributions helped Barcelona win La Liga, Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup titles.  Neymars comment adds to ongoing debates about the fairness of Ballon dOr voting, particularly regarding Brazilian players. Neymar himself finished 9th in 2020, while Vinicius Jr. finished second in 2024 behind Manchester City star midfielder Rodri, despite the Brazilian wingers superb season with Real Madrid, prompting discussions on perceived biases.2025 Ballon dOr Mens Top 5Ousmane Dembl (PSG)Lamine Yamal (Barcelona)Vitinha (PSG)Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)Raphinha (Barcelona) The post Neymar Jr. calls Ballon dOr 2025 rankings absolute joke appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
