House Of Representatives Caucus Dissociates self from
Buhari Re-election bid
• Insist Government has been hijacked and Buhari is not in

These may not be the best of times for the Buhari/Osibanjo
Presidential Campaigns as a large chunk of core APC
chieftains from various Federal constituencies are calling on
Nigerians to be skeptical of all the promises President Muhammedu
Buhari and the All Progressives Congress are making to
Nigerians.
The APC chieftains drawn from well over 200 Federal
Constituencies and over 500 state Constituencies across the country
consist of mainly members of the 7th House of Representatives APC
caucus on one hand and the APC National and State Assembly
Candidates to the 2015 general Elections.
Independent investigations investigations reveals that these APC
chieftains who command a large follower-ship and a healthy support
base at their various constituencies are set for a showdown with
President Muhammed Buhari and The cabal as the elections
approach.
Sources privy to the plot by the affected APC chieftains to
mobilize their constituents to vote massively against the
re-election of President Muhammedu Buhari reveals that their
grievances stem from unkept
promises,Marginalization,Insensitivity,greed,arrogance,undemocratic
and general failure of the Muhammadu Buhari led administration.
“Many of us who risked our lives by scaling the gates of the
National Assembly amid teargassing and gunshots to preserve and
protect the very democracy that ushered in President Buhari have
been ostracized, abandoned and forgotten by Buhari” lamented an APC
chieftain who was a prominent member of the 7th House Of
Representatives.
“President Buhari must never speak of integrity because we know
him to be a man who does not keep his words! Integrity begins when
a leader can keep his words!! Is it Buhari who met with APC caucus
of the 7th House Of Representatives 10days to his inauguration in
2015 at the Presidential Campaign office, Central Area and
promised to compensate and accommodate us with appointment
that is still talking about integrity??? The man has not only
reneged on his promise to us but has carried on with impunity and
disregard for us by appointing his family members, cronies and
associates into all the juicy positions. Worst is the fact that
Buhari sold most of these appointments through his close allies
especially during his first twenty-four months in office. Is that a
man with integrity?” Lamented another member of the 7th House Of
Representatives.
Another prominent APC chieftain made it clear to our source that
they are regrouping to take their pound of flesh in this Elections
as the insensitivity displayed by this administration is
unprecedented in the political history of Nigeria.
“ When have approached virtually every key member of this
government from Tinubu through the super minister like Ameachi down
to successive SGFs and clearly they have all treated us like trash!
The Buhari we worked for risked our lives for is no where to be
found!The signature of the Buhari administration is failed
promises,use-and-dump politics,high
handedness,insensitivity,nepotism,cabalism, selfishness and
shameful corruption. It is shameful for a government who came in
promising to fight corruption is itself immersed in several cases
of glaring acts of corruption.” said another Chieftain
“Posterity will not forgive us if we keep quiet! Many of us
decamped on the floor of the 7th House Of Representatives. Our
names and faces are known by Nigerians as those who fought to bring
this kind of government to them. It is important that at this
juncture we disassociate ourselves from this failure for posterity.
Many of us had hoped that we would be given the opportunity to man
key positions in this administration from where we would have been
able to dispense the true meaning of change to Nigerians. This
government has clearly been hijacked by enemies of Nigeria and
Nigerians. We must register it in history that we are not and
cannot be responsible for the next level of hardship that will hit
Nigerians since we are not part of the government.” Said a
chieftain from the northern part of the country.
Meanwhile APC candidates to the 2015 election have been
lamenting of their outright neglect by the Buhari government in the
last nearly four years. Many of them are dissatisfied with the
reward system of the Buhari administration. “ When it was unpopular
to support APC in some areas and a taboo to mention APC in other
areas many of us invested our money ,integrity,time and even risked
our lives only to end up like orphans in this administration. This
is the first time in our nation’s political history where a party
takes power and neglects majority of those who fought hard to bring
the government to power” narrated an APC candidate from south west
Nigeria who contested for a senatorial seat in the 2015
elections.
“A man who cannot remember where he is coming from cannot know
where he is going to. Recent events shows clearly there is a
disconnect between Buhari and the reality of his
responsibility to us and the Nigerian people. It will therefore
amount to a hope in futility to expect to be accommodated in the
second coming of Buhari. We must re-negotiate our future and that
of our constituents in this election. Buhari has failed us and
Nigerians” expressed a Chieftain who also contested the 2015
election under the platform of the APC.
Our sources reveal that these APC Chieftains from various states
and constituencies have maintained close contact and compared notes
since the advent of the Buhari administration. They are said to be
regrouping across the country and may soon officially withdraw
their support for the re-election bid of president Buhari.
Analysts and observers believe that this move will certainly
deplete the ranks of the ruling party who is currently believed to
be running neck to neck with the major opposition party and could
adversely affect the fortunes of the APC in the coming
elections.
Meanwhile our corespondent in the know of happenings within the
Presidential campaign team for youth and women reports that all is
not well within the campaign structure. Members of the campaign
team are set for a showdown with General Buba Marwa who has been
accused of hijacking funding and the original structures of the
women and youth campaign structure as inaugurated by the President.
A major in fighting has broken out within the Presidential campaign
team.
Sources further reveal that a good number of APC members drawn
from the Aspirants forum,a body consisting of over 7,000 aspirants
from across the country who where shortchanged by the Adams
Oshiomole led All Progressives Congress through scam primaries are
considering offers from the main opposition party. Insider sources
reveal that high level talks are currently ongoing to secure the
interest of many of its members especially as many of the aspirants
have lost confidence in the leadership of the forum to protect
their interests.
These are certainly trying times for Buhari’s quest for
re-election as it grapples with loosing a huge chunk of its
grassroots foot soldiers. The actions or inactions of President
Buhari in the coming days may alter the equation one way or the
other.
