Just as the shocking news of her crashed marriage hit Nigerians with shock, popular Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, better known as Jenifer, has gone into hiding.

The talented actress married Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, a Lagos-based socialite on 26th May in 2012 in a talk-of-the-town event that spanned almost one week.

Friends told www.www.aso.rocks search engine that Funke, who now brands for five different companies and the Lagos State Government, was still in shock. They confirmed that she had actually moved out of the man’s house to a location they could not disclose.

Oloyede broke the news on Facebook, a social networking site on the internet.

“It’s with heavy heart that am announcing the separation of me and my wife, Mrs Olufunke Akindele. We’ve both agreed to go our separate ways because of irreconcilable differences. We [are] still best of friends and we forever remain good friends,” he wrote.

“Am doing just fine, getting along without you. Don’t need you anymore in my life. You [are] the greatest mistake I have made in recent times.”

Funke’s publicists claim she was the one who moved out of the house over irreconcilable differences and that she was actually planning to officially divorce the man before he posted the news on his Facebook.

The marriage between the duo did not produce any child. At a time early this year, the actress was reported to be pregnant but she denied the report.

Funke Akindele hit stardom with her movie, Jenifer, allegedly funded by Oloyede. Those in the know say that was how their relationship began and later ended in marriage.
