The Second Reign Of Oshiomhole. Can He Abandon APC for PDP?
Dethronement and rejection are the two best words that could describe the former Chairman of All Progressive Congress, Adams Oshiomhole. The inspiration to write this article came few weeks after the Edo gubernatorial election. Which has really brought dishonor for the political legend. And as you all know! I am a very distinguished writer, different from the 1,000 out there because I write articles that influence the mind of the reader. And just like you have always enjoyed reading my articles, hope you will enjoy this one too.
For me oh, there are about six(6) great politicians that can take the “Jagaban” of Lagos down completely. And you know what, 3 in this list are still silent, and we don’t know what this silence will bring. Look at this list: Akiwunmi Ambode, GoodLuck Jonathan, Godwin Obaseki, Adams Oshiomhole, Nelson Wike and Seyi Makinde.
While Obaseki has dethroned Adams Oshiomhole, do you know that he needs this man on his side, to defeat Tinubu? If he must do so!
Right now, nobody endorses Adams Oshiomhole because he tried to ruin the mind of the people. But if he can join the main opposition party, he will be so powerful than Tinubu the “Jagaban” and will have the full support of many Nigerians.
Let’s recall how the APC won the 2015 presidential and gubernatorial elections. Is the permission to review their victory granted? Ok thanks, Olusegun Obasanjo the former president, INEC, The Redeemed Christian Church Of God and Oshiomhole made it possible.
As at that time, Mr Adams Oshiomhole was still active, reputable and dominated most eastern and Western States. Adams Oshiomhole fought tirelessly for them as the National Chairman of the party. Due to this, he deserves more honor which at this point can only come from the opposition party.
Early this year, remarkable news changed the whole Nigeria. It was the sudden dethronement of Adams Oshiomhole as the chairman of All Progressive Congress, APC. Many Nigerians rejoiced over it because it marked the beginning of his downfall.
Very unlucky for him, he served the APC wholeheartedly but it ended up in tragedy for him. On September 19, 2020, he tried to exercise his rights again only to find out that he has lost the trust he has from the people. And has sold it to the person of Governor Godwin Obaseki to whom he played the role of a godfather during the election.
Adams Oshiomhole is a great politician and a remarkable one in the Nigeria political system. Although he has been defeated and silenced as a result of the reasons stated above. I want him to take back his place, Something like this happened to Fayose of Ekiti State. At first, he lost the party’s primary despite his campaign rallies. Then he was silenced but the only difference remains the fact he never got a rejection from his supporters and his party, PDP. In my opinion, Adams Oshiomhole is credible and how did I come about this? Well, each time APC rig an election, he makes mistake of always saying “that was why we rigged it” before cautioning himself, not once, not twice but persistence.
You know there are people who are not destined for such things. I think he’s one of them.
So many privileges await him only if he can decamp to the main opposition party, PDP. Some of these privileges are as follows!
Dethronement of the remaining godfathers.
Only the person who knows a secret, knows where it is kept. You will agree with me that had it been that Obaseki didn’t know who they rigged election for him to enter his first tenure, he wouldn’t have won it during this time. He placed security and invited two influencing politicians to safeguard the whole conduct. Because he knows that failure to do so will give rise for rigging.
Oshiomhole will not deny he doesn’t know how it was done and how to possibly end it. And you know what if he joins the fight against bad leadership he will be more powerful than Tinubu and have full support from all of us.
He may become more popular than ever.
Nobody knows much about Governor Obaseki until he left his ruling All Progressive Congress to join PDP. It was after that decamp people started showing interest in him. Right now, people call him the icon of democracy. The same thing will happen if Oshiomhole can join PDP. His popularity will triple if he does that.
He has been dumped by his Party. The truth remains true, Tinubu does not want to share power with anyone. All he wants is Nigeria for himself. For him to achieve this, he used Governors like Oshiomhole and Rochas Okorocha and now he has dumped them.
The earlier they realize this the better for them. But if they fail, a good combination of Obaseki, Wike, Makinde, Fayose and other Nigerians who are ready for a change will storm up and put an end to this. If Ambode can summon some courage he can take over from Sanwo-Olu in 2023. Everything he brought is turned down for no special reason. For instance those dustbins he introduced are lying carelessly on the street showing how much hatred APC has for him.
